Vice Dean, Faculty of Architecture at Istanbul University
Cem BEYGO was born on August 9, 1966 in Istanbul. He completed his undergraduate education in 1989 at Istanbul Technical University, Department of Architecture. In 2001, he completed his Ph.D. program in City and Regional Planning at Istanbul Technical University. Within the scope of her academic studies, 3 International articles contributed to the related chapters of 10 books. National 3 articles, 5 books and 1 book chapters. Research Project “Sustainable Urban Regeneration in Istanbul Metropolitan Area (REGIMA) Pilot Project to Anticipate the Implementation of 2005 Urban Regeneration Act, Matra Social Transformation Program (MATRA) (2007)” project. His main areas of interest are: Smart Cities, Healthy Cities, Retirement Settlements, Commercial Areas Planning and Design. During his tenure at Istanbul Technical University, he took part in administrative duties such as Taşkışla Commission and Alumni Relations Commission. International competitions include: 1996 UIA - Convivial Spaces International Ideas Competition ”, Honorable Mention in Category II in 1996, in 2006, Concept Panorama City - Galata”, 3rd Prize. In national competitions: In 2009, within the scope of TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM International Scientific Publication Incentive Program (UBYT Program), gs Flagship regeneration project as a tool for disaster recovery planning: Zeytinburnu Case”, Disasters, 33 (2), pp. 180-202, 2009 and 2001 Afyonkarahisar Cumhuriyet Square and Surrounding National Architecture and Urban Design Idea Project Competition ”in 2001. In 2019, he started to work as the Vice Dean at Istanbul University Faculty of Architecture.
