Discovery Meeting
Hands-On

Event Description
This session will explore why individuals, institutions, and cities remain insufficiently prepared in the face of multiple disaster risks. It will examine complex factors such as the loss of disaster memory, weak risk perception, shortcomings in planning and governance, and the impacts of the climate crisis in relation to earthquakes, floods, droughts, and other hazards. Together with the participants, the session will discuss strategies to enhance social awareness, institutional capacity, and urban resilience from diverse perspectives.
