In this session, the concept of demography will be examined within the urban context. The relationship between population and the shaping of urban space, its impact on public services, and its connection to governance processes will be discussed. Key trends such as population growth, aging, migration, and their effects on cities will be addressed through density and capacity scenarios, as well as policy development processes.
