On the Edge of Youth

Bursa City Council, with the support of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and the Union of Marmara Municipalities, hosting a special gathering that will bring together Youth Councils from across the Marmara Region. This event, titled “On the Edge of Youth”, will take place between September 12–14, 2025, at the Göynükbelen Campground.

Throughout the gathering, workshops will be held with the participation of young people, the current state of Youth Councils will be evaluated, and ideas will be discussed to strengthen youth participation in local governance. The aim of the event is to make young people’s voices and contributions visible, to reinforce communication between councils, and to create a common vision for youth.

At this meeting, young people from all corners of the Marmara Region will have the opportunity both to share their experiences and to develop joint policies for a participatory and inclusive future in which youth play a more active role at the local level.
