Abdalkarim Zubaydi

Abdul Karim Al-Zubaidi is the President of the Association of Palestinian Local Authorities and has served as the mayor of Selfeet since 2017, winning consecutive terms in the local authorities' elections. 

Al-Zubaidi started the presidency of the Association of Palestinian Local Authorities in January 2023. Additionally, he has been a member of the administrative committee of the Municipal Development and Lending Fund since 2020. Prior to taking on the role of mayor, Al-Zubaidi held the position of director of publishing at the Ministry of Culture. He holds a bachelor's degree in Arabic literature and a master's degree in international studies.
