Ahmet Atıl Aşıcı

Assoc. Prof. Ahmet Atıl Aşıcı is a faculty member in the Department of Management Engineering at Istanbul Technical University (ITU).
After graduating from ITU's Business Engineering program in 1996 and completing his master's degree in Economics at Boğaziçi University in 1999, he earned his Ph.D. from the University of Geneva in 2007. Between 2005 and 2006, he worked as a researcher at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). In 2020-2021, he conducted research as part of the Mercator-IPC Fellowship program with his project titled "A Green New Deal for Turkey."
His primary research areas include sustainable development, green economic transformation, climate policies, and the European Green Deal. He has numerous published articles and books on these topics.
