Ahmet Cemil Tepe
Dr., Landscape Arhitect, Chamber of Landscape Architects of Türkiye
Ahmet Cemil Tepe is a landscape architect and academic specializing in urban landscape planning, climate change adaptation, and sustainable city strategies. He holds a Ph.D. in Landscape Architecture with a focus on ecological restoration, tactical urbanism, and carbon-neutral cities.
He currently serves as the Chair of the International EU Projects Commission at Yeşil Istanbul within the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, where he coordinates projects under Horizon Europe, UNEP, and Interreg programs focusing on climate change, green infrastructure, urban resilience, and tactical urbanism. Previously, he worked as Deputy Director of Green Areas at the Parks and Gardens Department of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
With 18 years of experience in both the public and private sectors, Tepe is also an active member of the Climate Change Commission of the Chamber of Landscape Architects Istanbul Branch. In addition, he continues his academic career at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa (Department of Landscape Architecture) and Medipol University, where he teaches courses on local governments, green space management, and sustainable landscape practices.
