Ana Maria Buritica Alzate is currently serving as Strategic Alliances Advisor at the Bogotá Women’s Secretariat. In this role, she leads international cooperation, knowledge management, and partnership processes for the Bogotá Care System and various gender equality initiatives.
With over 16 years of experience, Alzate has focused on bridging local action with global agendas by working with the European Union, the United Nations, and local governments in the fields of international cooperation, gender, and urban management. Her work centers on building strategic alliances, advancing gender equality, and promoting peacebuilding policies aimed at transforming social realities. Alzate holds a Master’s degree in Urban Management from Germany and a specialization in project evaluation. Bilingual in Spanish and English, she is dedicated to connecting global frameworks with local innovation to contribute to the development of inclusive and sustainable cities.
