Aslı Ceylan Öner
Prof., Vice Rector, Izmir University of Economics
Aslı Ceylan Öner is a Vice Rector and faculty member in the Department of Architecture at Izmir University of Economics. After graduating from the Middle East Technical University Department of Architecture.
She has pursued her education and career in England and the U.S.A. She has a master's degree in City Space and Society from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she developed her core research interest of globalization and global urban networks. She also has a Master's degree in Architecture and an MBA from Ball State University in Indiana, U.S.A. She completed her doctoral degree in Environmental Design and Planning. Her core research interests are globalization, global urban networks, planning and governance of global cities, urban theory, metropolitan form and built environment, and urban resilience.
