Bedel Esma Emre
Cultural Heritage Coordinator, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality
She graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Urban and Regional Planning. She completed her master's degree in 2017 in the Conservation and Renewal program at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. She proposed a methodology for planning multi-layered cities by integrating archaeological, geological, and planning data.
She is currently completing her PhD in Climate and Ocean Science at Istanbul Technical University's Eurasia Institute of Earth Sciences with a thesis titled “The Processes of Pleo-Environmental Changes, Their Impacts on the Northwest Shores of the Sea of Marmara at the Beginning of the Holocene and Its Effects on the Early Neolithic Settlement.”
Since 2021, she has been working as a coordinator at the Department of Cultural Heritage (IMM Heritage) of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
