Begüm İntepeler
Chairwoman, Pi Youth Association (PIYA)
Begüm İntepeler is a civil society leader with more than 15 years of experience.
Since 2016, she has been serving as the President of Pi Youth Association, where she has led numerous projects supporting the personal and professional development of young people. Under her leadership, the association has built strong multi-stakeholder partnerships at local, national, and international levels, working with a professional team and international volunteers in İzmir. She is well known for her efforts to foster youth participation in decision-making, promote volunteering, and strengthen institutional cooperation. İntepeler contributed to national policy processes as a member of the Civil Society and Youth Sub-Working Groups for Türkiye’s 12th Development Plan and served on the steering committee of the EU-funded “Sivil Düşün” program.
Alongside her civil society leadership, she has also gained private sector experience as a brand manager, specializing in reputation and crisis management, digital communication, and campaign design. This dual background enables her to act as a bridge between public institutions, the private sector, and civil society. Fluent in Turkish and proficient in English, İntepeler has expertise in strategic lobbying and brand and reputation management. Her work focuses on empowering young people, promoting volunteering, and developing sustainable collaborations.
