Berkan Pazarcı
Portfolio Manager, International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD)
Berkan Pazarcı graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration at Gazi University and joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye as a career diplomat in 1997.
Throughout his career, he served in various positions at the Permanent Delegation of Türkiye to the European Union, as well as at the Embassies of Türkiye in Havana, Washington, and Ottawa. From 2017 to 2021, he served as the Consul General of Türkiye in Salzburg. Within the Ministry, he held positions in the Directorates of the Council of Europe and Human Rights, North America, Latin America and the Caribbean, and International Arms Control, before retiring in 2022. Following his retirement, Pazarcı worked as a Portfolio Manager at the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), where he managed projects in areas such as voluntary return, irregular migration, combating human trafficking, international protection, and integrated border management.
He speaks English, French, and Spanish.
