Bev Hurley, CBE, is a highly accomplished Non-Executive Director, Chair, and Trustee across the public, private, and third sectors. She is also a successful serial entrepreneur, angel investor, speaker, and author.
As the former Chief Executive and now Chair of YTKO Group—her fifth business—Bev scaled the company to £8m turnover and a team of more than 100 employees. She created and launched eight new brands and services, raised £100m in funding for clients from seed to Series A, and supported over 30,000 growth businesses and more than 32,000 entrepreneurs, with a strong focus on empowering individuals from minority and disadvantaged backgrounds.
She has served on the board of the Institute of Economic Development, including as its Chair for six years, and has a deep understanding of what works to enable entrepreneurship and business growth in local areas. Bev has also served on a Secretary of State's Business Innovation and Skills Forum, chaired a Government task force on mentoring, and was a member of the British Banking Association Diversity and Equality Board. She was honoured with a CBE for her services to business and economic development, holds two of the Queens Awards for Enterprise, and the Freedom of the City of London.
