Bilge Taş
Festival and Civil Society Expert
Bilge Taş completed her master's degree in Women's Studies at Ankara University. During her academic career in cinema, she focused on the political economy of film festivals. In 2015, she conducted research as a visiting scholar in the Department of Film Festival Studies at the University of St Andrews. For 17 years, she has worked on issues related to gender equality, culture, and the arts from a rights-based perspective. She is one of the founders of the Pink Life Queer Fest, which started in 2011. Taş continues to serve as a mentor and consultant for civil society organizations across various fields, primarily focusing on culture, arts, and gender equality.
