Burcu Yılmaz Deniz

Burcu Yılmaz Deniz is a curator, cultural manager, and performer who brings diverse audiences together through multidisciplinary artistic exchange.
She is the founding partner and co-director of A Corner in the World, and an associate of Culture Unleashed, contributing her expertise in curatorial practices, facilitation, and cultural collaboration. She holds a BA in International Business, an MA in Cultural Heritage Management, and an M1 in Performing Arts, having studied in both Türkiye and France. Over the years, she has collaborated with a wide range of national and international organizations, including Spaces of Culture, ATÖLYE, bomontiada, Anadolu Kültür, Friche Laiterie, Global Heritage Fund, and Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory. She also serves as a member of the Advisory Committee of IETM – International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts, and contributes as an independent expert for the European Commission’s Creative Europe Program, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, and the Tarabya Cultural Academy in 2025. As an artist and curator, her recent focus has been on inclusive and participatory practices—such as improvisation, soundpainting, and performative discussion tables—that foster collaborative, multidisciplinary encounters for children, young audiences, and diverse communities.
