Cüneyt Çetintaş

Cüneyt Çetintaş is a traffic engineer and transportation planner with deep expertise in sustainable urban mobility. 

As Head of Transportation Planning at Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, he has led major initiatives such as the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP), Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Master Plan, and active mobility projects including safe school zones and tactical urbanism pilots. He focuses on creating inclusive, low-carbon, and resilient transport systems through data-driven planning, accessibility analytics, and stakeholder collaboration. Active in EU-funded projects, he positions Kocaeli as a living laboratory for innovative mobility solutions and the advancement of the 15-Minute City concept.
