Damla Pehlevan Polat
Master Landscape Architect and Musician, The Spatial JUST
Damla Pehlevan received her BA in Landscape Architecture from Istanbul Technical University, her MA in Sonic Arts from MIAM, and her MA in Landscape Architecture from ENSP Versailles & Paris-Saclay University. Her 2015 thesis project, "Land of Sound" combined landscape architecture with sound design, and her work on the use of new media in landscape architecture. She participated in an article on this project at the ICMC conference at North Texas University. As a landscape architect at CAUE91, affiliated with the Municipality of Paris, she worked on participatory public design projects, garden gatherings, and urban biodiversity studies. A part-time piano graduate of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts Universityb, Pehlevan performs both in Türkiye and abroad, writes songs, and works as a piano-vocal instructor. She joined The Spatial JUST to conduct spatial and participatory music & botany studies and produce projects within this framework.
