Dilara Öztaşkın

Dilara Öztaşkın graduated from Çankaya University, Department of Urban and Regional Planning, in 2019. In 2021, she completed the Associate Degree Program in Geographic Information Systems at Anadolu University.
She began her professional career in 2020 at the Urban Transportation Technologies, Accessibility, Application and Research Center at Gazi University. During this period, she worked on urban transportation master plans, rail system feasibility projects, and traffic studies. She actively contributed to multi-dimensional processes such as research and data collection, analysis and evaluation, reporting, visualization, plan drawing, and plan calculations, gaining comprehensive technical experience in the field of transportation. In 2021, she has been working as an urban planner at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Directorate of Transportation Planning under the Department of Transportation. In this role, she is involved in the development and updating of a four-step travel demand forecasting model to analyze the city's current and future travel demand. She also works on research, data collection, analysis, reporting, visualization, and presentation processes within the scope of sustainable transportation and other transportation action plans. In addition, she is responsible for activity-based modeling studies conducted as part of Istanbul SKUp.
In 2023, she completed her master’s degree at the Graduate School of Konya Technical University, Department of Urban and Regional Planning, with her thesis titled “Examining the Accessibility of Public Transport Stops: The Case of Istanbul.” Her academic and professional interests focus on sustainable transportation planning, accessibility, public transport systems, transportation modeling, and urban mobility.
