Elif Güney Menderes holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations from Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, and an MSc in Energy and Sustainable Development.
During her undergraduate studies, she spent a year at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, gaining an international perspective. Her professional experience includes positions at the Istanbul Policy Center, the United Nations Development Programme, and her current role as Program Manager at the Friedrich Naumann Foundation. Menderes specializes in political communication and community-building strategies, providing consultancy and training. From 2020 to 2024, she served as Field Coordinator for the Democracy and Progress (DEVA) Party. In 2020, she founded the Human Rights Academy, reflecting her commitment to advancing human rights and empowering marginalized communities through civic education.
