Emre Oguzoncul is a Principal at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) working for the Climate Strategy and Delivery team in the Bank's headquarters in London.
He worked in the Bank’s Istanbul Regional Office for approximately 5 years, focusing on the Bank’s climate agenda in Türkiye and neighbouring countries, working with both public and private institutions on transaction and policy dialogue projects.
Since late 2021, he has been working from the Bank’s headquarters in London on sustainable urban infrastructure projects. He also covers the Bank’s flagship project EBRD Green Cities from the technical side, leading project appraisal and GCAP management. He previously worked as a consultant in the United Arab Emirates and Türkiye, having covered a significant number of resource efficiency and renewable energy projects in public and private sectors in Türkiye and the Middle East with Innogy (RWE) consulting and Stantec.
He holds a M.Sc. degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy, and a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, USA.
