Engin Ertan

Engin Ertan graduated from "stanbul High School and completed his undergraduate studies at the Journalism Department of the Faculty of Communication at Istanbul University. He began his career as a film critic at the monthly magazine "Sinema" in 2000. He continued to serve as the Editor-in-Chief at "Sinema" until the magazine closed in December 2013. In addition to "Sinema", his articles on film and music were published in newspapers and magazines such as "Radikal", "Rolling Stone Türkiye", "Total Film Türkiyd", "Film+", "Milliyet Sanat", and "Altyazi". He served on the advisory board of the Istanbul Film Festival from 2016 until 2024. Since 2015, he has been the curator and one of the project coordinators of the "Kino" film programme organised by the Goethe-Institut. He continues to write on films for "Altyazi" and "Milliyet Sanat".
