Ertuğ Uçar

Ertuğ Uçar holds a bachelor’s (1993) and master’s (1999) degree in Architecture from METU. His thesis explored the intersection of writing and architecture. Since 2000, he has been a partner at Teğet Architecture, working in architecture, conservation, and urban design.
The office won the National Architecture Award in 2010, 2014, and 2018. Uçar co-curated Turkey’s Pavilion at the 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale and taught studio courses at ITU and YTU.
He is the author of ten books, including fiction, essays, children’s literature, and building monographs.
