Esra Karadaş Ekinci
General Coordinator, Mesopotamia Foundation
Esra Karadaş Ekinci is an urban anthropologist and Kurdish women’s rights advocate based in Diyarbakır.
She serves as the General Coordinator of the Mesopotamia Foundation, an institution dedicated to Kurdish studies, and is the founder of the Rayel Collective, a feminist media initiative that aims to make urban struggles and spatial resistance more visible.
She is currently pursuing her doctoral studies in Human Geography at Frankfurt Goethe University. Her research interests include the urban aspect of counter-hegemonic struggles, feminist urban studies, and gender/minority-oriented urban rights.
Her political and social engagement has led her to work closely with social movements, minority communities, and culturally vulnerable groups. She advocates for social justice-based and urban-inclusive peacebuilding practices.
