Farnaz Fattahi

Education Lead, ARC Centre for Next-Gen Architectural Manufacturing

Farnaz Fattahi is the CPD Education Lead at  ARC ITTC for Next-Generation Architectural Manufacturing (Arch_Manu). 

With over 12 years of experience in teaching, curriculum design, and course coordination, she has held academic positions at leading institutions, including the University of New South Wales (UNSW), the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), and several international universities. Her expertise spans the development of both theoretical frameworks and practice-based learning experiences in architecture and design. 

As Project Advisor for UNSW’s Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program, Fattah mentored multi-disciplinary student teams in creating engagement strategies with cultural institutions such as the Powerhouse Museum (MAAS) and the Australian National Maritime Museum (ANMM). She holds a Master’s in Digital Architecture and is soon to be awarded her PhD in Architecture from UNSW. Her doctoral research, Spatial Provocateur_ A Theoretical-Practical Framework for Choreographing Scenarios of Collective Interaction to Address Socio-Urban Challenges with Critical Urgency, explores how architectural design can critically address urgent challenges facing the built environment. 

She has also contributed to numerous research and fabrication-focused projects that champion sustainable design practices. Her collaborations span internationally recognized institutions including the University of Stuttgart, University of Khayyam, and UTS, reinforcing her commitment to innovation at the intersection of architecture, technology, and sustainability.
