Fatih Kala
Architect & Co-Founder, Tabure KTS
Mehmet Fatih Kala graduated from Istanbul Technical University (ITU) in 2024, completing a double major program in Architecture and City and Regional Planning, which he began in 2017.
During his studies, he won several awards in urban planning and architecture competitions, focusing his work on public spaces, participatory design, and alternative interventions. In 2024, together with his ITU colleagues Mervan Önen and Zeynep Aybala Tümer, he co-founded Tabure Urban Design Studio. In collaboration with the Marmara Municipalities Union, Superpool, GDCI, and Avcılar Municipality, they carried out the transformation of an underused parking lot into a vibrant public space surrounding Türkiye’s most crowded primary school.
Alongside his work at Tabure KTS, Kala continues his career as a freelance architect, working on international projects such as residential and tourism buildings. He is also pursuing his academic journey through the Master’s Program in Sociology at Boğaziçi University.
