Creative Director, Izmir Film Lab

Gülen Gözkara has been part of the Oscar®-accredited İzmir Short Film Festival since 2013, which has been running for 26 years, developing projects that strengthen İzmir’s cinematic memory. 

In 2019, she founded the İzmir Cinema Office, enabling many films and TV series to be shot in the city and turning İzmir into a hub for national and international productions. She continues this mission as Director of İzmir Film Lab, transforming İzmir into a living cultural heritage laboratory at the intersection of cinema, literature, and architecture.
