Güzide Miray Perihanoğlu

Güzide Miray Perihanoğlu graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Department of Geomatics Engineering at Yıldız Technical University in 2011. She completed her master's degree in Geomatics Engineering at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) in 2016 and earned her PhD in the same field at ITU in 2025.
Perihanoğlu is currently a lecturer in the Department of Emergency and Disaster Management at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University. Her research interests include Geographic Information Systems (GIS), spatial analysis, machine learning applications, and signal loss coverage mapping. Her academic work focuses on integrating spatial data with advanced computational methods to develop solutions for urban planning, disaster management, and environmental monitoring. In particular, she investigates the contribution of spatial data science to decision-making processes centered on sustainable urban development and resilience.
In 2023, she was awarded first place in the PhD Showcase competition organized as part of the Marmara Urban Forum (MARUF 2023) by the Marmara Municipalities Union.
