Iliyani Binti Ibrahim

Assoc. Prof., International Islamic University of Malaysia

Illyani Ibrahim is an Associate Professor at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). 

She holds a Ph.D. in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and has extensive expertise in spatial analysis, environmental monitoring, and heritage conservation. She is a registered corporate member of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) and the Institution of Geospatial and Remote Sensing Malaysia (IGRSM), as well as an associate member of the Malaysian Institute of Planners (MIP). 

Her research focuses on integrating GIS and remote sensing technologies in environmental management, sustainable urban planning, and cultural heritage preservation. She has contributed to several interdisciplinary projects involving spatial modeling, land-use planning, and disaster risk assessment. Her recent work explores digital documentation and conservation strategies for historical sites, emphasizing the role of technology in safeguarding cultural heritage. 

She has published extensively in reputable journals and presented her findings at international conferences. She actively collaborates with government agencies and non-governmental organizations to enhance environmental resilience and promote sustainable development practices.
