Lucrezia Gigante

Lucrezia Gigante is a researcher in Museum Studies, exploring the civic role of arts and heritage organisations in shaping place-based cultural identities.
She is currently a Research Associate at the University of Glasgow, working on the UKRI AHRC Place-based Research Programme. Her work focuses on public programming, emotional attachment to place, and people-centred, place-based cultural policy. With a background in participatory practices and cultural citizenship, Gigante collaborates with institutions across the UK and internationally, including through the UNESCO Global Network of Water Museums.
