Mehmet Çakılcıoğlu

Mehmet Çakılcıoğlu graduated from TED Ankara College in 1987 and then from the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at Mimar Sinan University, Faculty of Architecture.
He received his Master of Urban Planning degree from Mimar Sinan University in 1989 and his Dr. Urban Planner title from the same university in 1996. Between 1989 and 2014, he worked at the Department of Urban Planning and Planning of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Between 2008 and 2012, he served as the Coordinator of the World Health Organization, the Healthy Cities Association, and the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Between 2008 and 2016, he served as a part-time lecturer at Istanbul Aydın University. Between 2014 and 2019, he served as the Deputy Technical Director of the Beylikdüzü Municipality of Istanbul.
Between 2019 and 2020, he served as Deputy Secretary General of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. His current positions include: He is an advisor to the Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the IPA Istanbul Planning Agency Strategic Research Inc., President of the IMM Industry and Trade Platform, and a member of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry Council. He has numerous works published in various journals and presented at various congresses, seminars, panels, and academic meetings.
