Mehmet Küçükmehmetoğlu

Mehmet Kucukmehmetoglu earned his bachelor’s degree in City and Regional Planning from the Middle East Technical University. He received his master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh, USA, and later completed his Doctor of Philosophy in City and Regional Planning at The Ohio State University, USA.

From 2014 to 2022, Kucukmehmetoglu served as the head of the Department of City and Regional Planning at Gebze Technical University, Türkiye. Currently, he is pursuing his academic career in the same field as a faculty member at the School of Architecture, Istanbul Technical University. His research interests include resource economics, policy analysis, quantitative techniques in urban and regional planning, and urban modeling.
