Mehmet Yıldız

Mehmet Yıldız received his undergraduate degree from Selçuk University in 1988 and his master's degree in Business Administration from Bahçeşehir University.

He served as a regional senior manager at Bahçeşehir University from 2010 to 2021, and at Bahçeşehir Colleges in Bursa, Balıkesir, Yalova, and Eskişehir. During this period, he opened and managed six educational campuses in Bursa alone. He served in various roles on the Education Committee of the Karacabey Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 2006 to 2010, and on the Education Committee of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 2010 to 2014. He served in numerous roles, including a member of the TOBB Bursa Education Advisory Board from 2018 to 2020, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Bursa Foundation for Culture and Arts from 2019 to 2022.

Yıldız, who has been a member of the Advisory Board of Anadolu University's Institute of Educational Sciences since 2021, founded the Bursa Education Platform (BUEP) in 2021. He organized conferences, panels, and workshops on secular, democratic, scientific, and vocational education. He also prepared reports on educational problems and proposed solutions. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of BİDEV (Basketball Solidarity and Education Foundation), an active member of TÜRÇEV (Turkey Environmental Education Foundation), and numerous civil society organizations. Following the March 31, 2023, local elections, he served as Deputy Secretary General of the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, responsible for the Departments of Social Services, Youth and Sports Services, Culture and Social Services, City History and Promotion, Foreign Relations, and Tourism.
