Melih Birik

Assoc. Prof., Urban Planner, Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University

Melih Birik received his bachelor's degree from the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the Faculty of Architecture, Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (MSGSU - former MSU) in 1992, where he started working as a research assistant in the same department. As a founding partner of CM Architecture and Design, he carried out projects in the fields of planning and design between 1998 and 2008. After completing his PhD in urban transformation and deformation at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2012, he started giving lectures at various universities. 

He currently continues his research on urban design, housing design and urban morphology as an associate professor at MSGSU in Istanbul.
