Meltem Hamit

Meltem Hamit completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Political Science and Public Administration at Middle East Technical University (METU). 

Between 2008 and 2021, she held various positions at United Nations agencies, including the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Since 2021, Hamit has been working with the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) Türkiye Representation. She serves as a Portfolio Manager, responsible for overseeing the Interdisciplinary Portfolio, which covers projects on international cooperation, policy development, implementation, and research across different thematic areas of migration.
