Oday Jabari
Local Governance Expert, Belgian Agency for International Cooperation - Enabel
Oday Fathi Jabari is a Local Governance Expert with more than 15 years of experience in managing and coordinating development and humanitarian projects, particularly in the local governance sector in Palestine.
He currently works with Enabel (the Belgian Development Agency), where he leads the Green Palestine portfolio, focusing on solid waste management, green public spaces, and sustainable urban services. He has extensive expertise in territorial integration among Local Government Units (LGUs), enhancing service delivery in areas such as waste management, water, planning, and local economic development. His career spans leadership roles with Enabel, the Municipal Development & Lending Fund (MDLF), and civil society organizations, where he has consistently promoted joint service provision, institutional strengthening, and community participation.
He holds an MBA from Hebron University, a Diploma in Sustainable Projects in the Mediterranean from CIHEAM (Italy), and a BA in English Literature. Oday has represented Palestine internationally in major forums, including COP26 in Glasgow, COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh, and the Co-Creation of Cities Conference in Brussels.
