Oğul Can Öztunç

Oğul Can Öztunç is the co-founder of Piknik Works Architecture & Design Services, based in Istanbul and Vienna. The studio develops projects in architecture, art, and graphic design, drawing on the intersections of these disciplines.

He graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, as the top project student of his class and received the Archiprix Türkiye First Prize in the same year. He completed his master’s degree with a thesis titled Encyclopedia of Spatial Pleasures: A Toolbox for Architectural Knowledge in the Information Age. In this work, he examined the role of encyclopedic formats in the production of architectural knowledge, explored alternative models of knowledge creation, and proposed new methods for producing architectural knowledge.

His professional practice spans various media, from architectural and interior design projects to product design, graphic design, and artistic installations. His work has been presented in international exhibitions, publications, and gatherings, and has been recognized with national and international awards. He regards architecture not only as the production of space but also as the production of knowledge, experience, and culture.
