Ozan Erdinç

Ozan Erdinç received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Yildiz Technical University (YTU) in 2007, and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Institute of Science and Technology at YTU in 2009 and 2013, respectively. During his graduate studies, he worked in various roles in the private sector. In 2013, he began working as a postdoctoral researcher in Portugal within an EU-funded FP7 project. He joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at YTU as a faculty member in 2015 and was awarded the titles of Associate Professor in 2016 and Full Professor in 2021.
His research focuses on renewable energy systems, smart grids, electric vehicles, and optimization in power systems. He provides consultancy to distribution companies and public institutions on grid integration of electric vehicles and renewable-based distributed generation. He is the coordinator of the Horizon Europe-funded project ECHO, with a €5 million budget starting in 2024. He served as Chair of the IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) Türkiye Chapter from 2019 to 2023.
He is an IEEE Senior Member and an editorial board member of several leading journals. With over 150 international publications and more than 9,000 citations, his h-index is 42. He has received prestigious awards such as TÜBA GEBİP, TÜBİTAK 100th Year Incentive Award, BAGEP, and IEEE Turkey Academic Encouragement Award. Since 2019, he has been listed among the “World’s Top 2% Scientists” by Stanford University.
