Özge Acar

Özge Acar graduated from Yıldız Technical University's Geomatics and Survey Engineering program in 2010 and has spent the last five years expanding her skill set in web development and AI management. 

She serves as the deputy general manager of the technical team at IT and Innovation in Needs Map. In this role, the individual contributes to the development of geospatial database systems, platforms, and map-based websites, primarily supporting a variety of sectors including human assistance, social innovation, crisis management, resilience, and sustainability initiatives. Her work has been in collaboration with a diverse range of clients, including municipalities and NGOs. 

With a background in GIS, Acar has experience in numerous areas such as mobile data collection, database management, aviation, water and sewage administration, cadastre, and urban transformation. She worked globally within the navigation sector, holding positions as a Senior Map Specialist at esteemed companies like Here Maps and Yandex Maps. She has also contributed her expertise as a language consultant to what3words.
