Pınar Yapanoğlu
Portfolio Manager, International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD)
Pınar Yapanoğlu has extensive experience as a senior executive and female entrepreneur, having worked with large-scale organizations such as UNDP, ICMPD, TESCO Plc, the Privatization Administration of the Turkish Government, and the UK Government Department for International Trade and Investment.
Her expertise spans corporate relations, entrepreneurship, business development, and program management. She currently serves as Portfolio Manager for Migration and Development at ICMPD, where she leads the ENHANCER Project, one of ICMPD’s largest global programs with a total budget of €102.5 million. The project aims to create sustainable livelihoods for migrants and host communities by developing the entrepreneurship ecosystem, enhancing entrepreneurial capacities, and generating new job opportunities. This process involves international business development, exploring alternative financing opportunities, analyzing local business ecosystems, synthesizing methods, and establishing connections between local and international value chains.
Yapanoğlu possesses strong skills in financial management, business development, and operational process management, with extensive experience in building high-level relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, government representatives, clients, and competitors. She demonstrates effective leadership in vision setting, team management, trust building, and collaboration, and has specialized expertise in reputation management within corporate organizations and public institutions. With field experience across different sectors in investment and entrepreneurship ecosystems, Yapanoğlu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU) and an MBA from Bilkent University. She has also completed numerous project management training programs.
