Rana Irmak Aksoy

Rana Irmak Aksoy is an architect and scholar who works at the intersection of architectural design, artistic production, and critical research on the built environment.
Through architectural projects, installations, and exhibitions, she explores how space and identity politics intersect in the urban public realm, and how architecture can function as social infrastructure. She holds a Master of Architecture with commendation from Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor’s in Architecture from Columbia University, where she also studied art history and curation. She started her professional journey in architecture at Renzo Piano Building Workshop. She currently based in Istanbul and practices as an architect while teaching at Bilgi University. Her works have been exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennale and Shenzhen Bi-city Biennale of Urbanism / Architecture.
