Sema Kayhan
Project Assistant of Social Resilience Program, Habitat Association
Sema Kayhan has been actively working in the fields of social services and civil society since 2019. She graduated with High Honors from the Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, Department of Social Work.
Throughout her work, she has been involved in rights-based and psychosocial support-focused projects, collaborating with various groups such as children, adolescents, young adults, women, homeless individuals, refugees, and older adults. Her field experience includes psychosocial support activities in disaster-affected areas, creative drama workshops with incarcerated children, oral history interviews with older adults, and child-friendly space coordination with refugee children. During these processes, she gained strong experience in content development, workshop design, volunteer coordination, and reporting.
Between 2023 and 2025, she worked professionally as a Child-Friendly Space Assistant at a community center. Currently, she serves as a Project Assistant in the Social Resilience Program at Habitat Association. In addition, she continues to provide training for young people and parents on online safety, cyberbullying, and digital balance. The experiences she has gained on her journey from volunteering to professional work enable her to contribute to initiatives focused on sustainability, children’s rights, and inclusivity.
