Susanne Boehler Baedeker

Dr. Susanne Böhler-Baedeker, who has nearly 30 years of experience in sustainable mobility and climate planning, co-authored key EU guidelines on Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs), including the landmark SUMP Guidelines (2013, 2019) and the Handbook on Decarbonising Mobility (2024). After her PhD at TU Dortmund and a role as Deputy Head of Energy, Climate and Transport Policy at the Wuppertal Institute, she has led Rupprecht Consult’s SUMP team for over a decade. Her expertise lies in planning processes, cross-departmental coordination, and facilitating dialogue between administrations, politics, and the public.
