Tamara Snofl

Tamara Šnofl is the mayor of Kungota, a municipality in northeastern Slovenia. 

A lawyer by education, she worked for more than sixteen years in public administration and the private sector, including as an attorney, before entering politics. In 2018, she was elected mayor of Kungota, becoming the first woman to hold the office. Her first term focused on stabilizing the municipality’s finances, settling debts, and improving transparency in local governance. Re-elected in 2022, Šnofl has continued to prioritize infrastructure, especially roads and public services, while also supporting tourism and local development.

She aims to balance investments across all villages in the municipality and to provide services for both younger and older residents.
