Tanja Obradovic

Dr. Tanja Obradović graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Niš. From 2002 to 2005, worked as an architect in a project bureau and participated in the development of various projects in the fields of architecture and urbanism. As a co-author. She passed the professional exam iand became a member of the Serbian Chamber of Engineers as a licensed architect. By decision of the Ministry of Justice, she was appointed a court expert in the fields of urban planning, design, law, and regulations. She served as the main city planner of the City of Niš from September 2020 to April 2023. Since 2005, she has worked as a Republic Urban Planning Inspector in the Ministry of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure. She is currently serving as the Head of the Department for Urban Planning Inspection of the Republic of Serbia.

She enrolled in doctoral studies at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture and earned PhD in August 2025. She has published several scientific papers in journals of architecture and urbanism.

Since April 2023, she has been working in the Ministry of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure, Department of Inspection Affairs of Urban Planning, as an Independent Advisor. She was chosen as the coordinator by UN-Habitat for the process of the first Voluntary Local Review (VLR) in Serbia for the City of Niš and as the coordinator for the Quality of Life Index.

She is also the founder of the International Conference on Urban Planning (ICUP).
