Teuvo Hatva

Teuvo Hatva is a Finnish politician and entrepreneur with extensive experience in regional governance and international cooperation. 

He currently serves as the Chairman of the City Board of Kajaani, a position he has held since 2017. In this role, he leads the executive body of the city, overseeing municipal governance and strategic decision-making. In addition to his municipal responsibilities, Hatva is actively involved in regional and international governance. He is a member of the Kainuu Regional Council (Maakuntavaltuusto), representing the Kainuu region in Finland's regional government. He has also served as a member of the Council of Europe's Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, where he contributed to the Governance Committee from 2021 to 2023.

Beyond his public service roles, Hatva has a background in business and entrepreneurship. He has held leadership positions in various companies, including serving as the CEO of multiple firms. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Metsäliitto Cooperative, a major Finnish forestry and wood processing company. Hatva's professional journey reflects a commitment to sustainable development, regional cooperation, and effective governance at both local and international levels.
