Turan Hançerli
Deputy Chairman, Istanbul Planning Agency (IPA)
Turan Hançerli completed his undergraduate studies at Istanbul University Faculty of Law and his master's degree at Bilgi University. Hançerli is also a freelance lawyer.
Hançerli, who has been active in NGOs for many years, served as a member of the CHP Party Assembly. He served as Mayor of Avcılar from 2019 to 2024. During his tenure, he attracted attention with his work on sustainable development, urban transformation, and local development. Hançerli has participated as a speaker at three UN high-level meetings and serves as Deputy Chairman of the Istanbul Planning Agency.
