Zakia Elvang

Zakia Elvang, is the executive director of the social enterprise We Do Democracy and the co-founder of the Copenhagen-based innovation hub Demokrati Garage.

We Do Democracy works to make a better democratic future possible. They are thought leaders in democratic innovation and deliberative democracy. They have designed, organised, and facilitated more than 25 citizens’ assemblies at local, municipal, regional, and national levels.

We Do Democracy and Zakia Elvang are the entrepreneurs behind numerous societal initiatives – ranging from Democracy Fitness, Demokrati Garage, Democratic Impact Goals, Renten – Transition Street NV, and the  Nordic Deliberation platform.
