Zübeyir Nişancı

Zübeyir Nişancı serves as the Director of the Institute of Population and Social Research at Marmara University. He received his undergraduate degree in Sociology from Boğaziçi University and his Ph.D. from Loyola University Chicago.
His academic interests and areas of expertise include statistics, data analysis, social research, and research methodology, as well as topics such as family, youth, migration, and religiosity.
Nişancı is the principal investigator of two of the most comprehensive nationwide social science projects in Türkiye: the Turkish General Social Survey (TGSS) and the Study on Religion and Religiosity in Türkiye (TİDA).
