Creative Reading Workshop with Çiğdem Odabaşı: On Marianne Brooker's 'Intervals'
In collaboration with Yapı Kredi Culture Arts and Publishing - the main supporter of the Urban Library - this creative reading workshop invites participants to experience texts through the lens of multiple disciplines. What questions remain at the threshold of a life? In this workshop, Intervals will be approached not merely as a memoir but as a collective space for reflection on care, justice, and solidarity. Drawing on cues from the text, participants will open up discussions about their own experiences as well as the social policies of cities, in the context of climate, environment, responsibility, and the future of urban life. This creative reading process will offer an interdisciplinary experience that expands creativity through perspectives from literature, ecology, sociology, philosophy, psychology, art, and social policy. Join us, and let’s open the door to a new threshold together!
