Kreşendo x Roof Coliving | 'The Image of the City'

In this workshop, we will explore the traces left by the city in our memories, drawing inspiration from Kevin Lynch's work ‘The Image of the City’. Participants will discuss their personal images of the city, shaped by their own experiences, and create personal city maps using drawing, short notes, and visual storytelling methods. Alongside the maps, we will focus on changing urban images, our relationship with urban space, how these images describe an urban experience, and how they intersect with urban policies. 

The workshop invites all participants to creatively document how our perception of the city has changed and how this transformation shapes the symbolic ties and dialogue we build with it, while also fostering a collective exploration of the images embedded in urban memory through individual experiences.
